Renaissance Textile

Premium second-hand fabric

The textile industry is the second most polluting industry after oil products and consumes large quantities of drinking water each year for its production (the equivalent of 70 showers are needed to produce one T-shirt!), to which must be added the quantities of CO2 linked to its international transport. Finally, 2/3 of the world's textile fibres are produced using chemical processes. A more sustainable management of textile production on a global scale is consequently critical.
Renaissance Textiles has decided to tackle this issue by creating new virtuous life cycles for textiles via an innovative process: the company is capable of unravelling and reassembling most of the fibres of clothing and industrial fabrics while limiting its environmental impact (no chemical inputs, limited use of water). It manufactures Circular Textile® that is equivalent or superior in quality to that produced from raw materials.
