Reducing plastic consumption is a major public health and habitat issue in Indonesia: the country is the 2nd most plastic polluting country in the world. Founded in 2020, QYOS is a digital start-up that allows consumers to refill their household product containers at automated refill stations placed in their stores, in community living spaces. The company works with manufacturers to ensure that containers can be refilled at easily accessible stations in just one minute. Although new, the Qyos app has over 2,700 subscribers and is associated with 10 brands and 3 retailers including Unilever or Wings.
