Pyrocycle

Exploiting urban mines

Between 40 and 70 million metric tons of e-waste are thrown away each year worldwide*. In Canada, e-waste volumes are expected to reach 4% per year, meaning that over 5 million computers and monitors are thrown away each year. It is crucial to integrate e-waste into the circular economy, allowing for the recycling of previously mined minerals in our cities. Pyrocycle uses non-polluting and cost-effective technology to recycle electrical and electronic waste. The company works both with telecommunication companies - which produce a large proportion of this e-waste - and with municipal waste collection centres.
