Groundfridge
Cooling food... without a fridge
Groundfridge is a cooling system based on a basic principle that goes back centuries. It is the modern and innovative version of the traditional root cellar. The Groundfridge is a self-contained, naturally cooled cellar that uses the insulating capacity of the floor and the coolness of the night air. This allows the temperature inside the Groundfridge to remain stable and cool throughout the year.
The lightweight Groundfridge is very easy to transport and install, and unlike a normal cellar, no permits are required for installation. The entrance is wide and high, allowing two people to enter and exit standing up together. Only the door remains visible once the Groundfridge is installed. Ventilation is provided by a fan with a timer that provides fresh air at night. It requires no electricity and has a storage capacity of 3000 litres.
