CarbiCrete
CO2-absorbing concrete
CarbiCrete specializes in carbon removal technology. It develops innovative and inexpensive building solutions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. CarbiCrete's patented technology, developed at Montreal's McGill University, produces concrete without cement and without carbon emissions. This process uses an industrial by-product steel mill slag to replace cement as a binder in precast concrete products. CO2 is injected into the fresh concrete to give it the desired strength, while permanently trapping this gas in the resulting products.
